Everything you want is on the other side of fear, meaning
The only way to get what you want is to face your fears head on. So what are you waiting for? Either live your life with regret, or pursue the dreams that make you happy. You’ll never know until you try.
Everything you want is on the other side of fear
The only way to get what you want in life is to face your fears and take action in spite of whatever mental or physical barriers you may have. If you continue to live with regret, feeling depressed and unfulfilled in pursuit of unachievable goals instead of pursuing what actually makes you happy, then you’re just wasting your time.
We need to face our fears, because it’s the only way to get what you want in life. You can’t ever get what you want unless you set out to achieve it, and by pursuing your goals, you’re taking necessary actions towards your success. Because fear has no place in your life. You can walk through fear or let it walk through you. The choice is yours, but the consequences are forever lasting.
The key to conquering fear is to not be afraid of failure. None of us wants to fail in any area we’re trying to conquer in life, but we all do. It’s just that we subconsciously take actions and create barriers in life in an effort to protect ourselves from failure. You can either work against your fear by avoiding what you’re trying to achieve, or you can work through it.
Failure is just another stepping stone on the path to success. All of us have failed at something or another. We’ve all failed a math test, a speech presentation, a first date, a first kiss, a first job interview, and so on. But your reaction to those failures will determine whether you’ll ever succeed in life or not.
The very first thing you have to realize is that there’s no such thing as failure. There’s only opportunity. And the only way you can learn from those opportunities is to look at them as lessons that will help you achieve your goals.
How to turn your fear into your biggest motivation?
1) Acknowledge your fears and realize that you’re not alone
All the big ventures started with fear and uncertainty. When Facebook started, do you think that Mark Zuckerberg was confident that it will succeed? Elon Musk was told that electric vehicle technology is not going to work, but he took the risk and revolutionized the automobile industry. It means everyone fears, everyone doubts and everyone feels uncertain about what they’re going to do. But if that fear and uncertainty stops you, then you are going nowhere. Don’t live in fear and uncertainty, because that’s the place where your dreams and goals will die.
2) Surround yourself with people who are supportive of you
Don’t go out of your way to surround yourself with people who will do nothing but criticize you and put you down. Surround yourself with people who care about you, support you, want the best for you, and will spend time encouraging you. Numerous studies show that pessimists tend to procrastinate more than optimists because they’re always worried about what might go wrong, so it actually holds them back from making progress. Whatever challenges or setbacks that come up in your life or business – or anything else for that matter – focus on learning something new rather than just dwelling on what went wrong and use this constructive feedback to propel yourself forward.
3) Accept that if you fail in anything in life, it’s no big deal.
The reason why I say “if” you fail is because I don’t really believe that anyone fails at anything in life. Even if you have a complete and utter failure, you learn something from it. It’s not over until you say it’s over. And even if you fail, you’re never more successful than when you started. Success is conquering the fears that stop us from achieving our goals, and then building or rebuilding ourselves to go even further. Accept the failure as a learning experience and a growing opportunity, so in your next venture you are able to overcome any hurdles or obstacles that might be in the way.
Failure is not always about loss. When you fail, it’s because you’re trying to do something new. If you’re not failing, then you’re not trying anything new.
4) Visualize how successful you’ll be once you conquer your fears.
Instead of thinking about what will happen if I fail; think about what will happen if I win. Always think positive. The mind is always faster than the heart, so if you’re thinking negative thoughts about yourself or your situation, then it’ll just manifest into that. Don’t imagine how things will be worse or how they’ll fail. Imagine the benefits of being successful.
